All About Us

About DiamondsBestDiamondsbest Reg'd have been breeding Goldens for a number of years. Our emphasis has been placed on breeding for that golden disposition, temperament and that endearing personality. The breeding program that we use is to breed only at the time we feel we can enhance the breed. We breed to maintain the British type golden. All of my Goldens are easy going and fun loving and are family raised right from birth. Our Labradors, originate from the Corhampton lines, with Ch. Corhampton's Barefoot Contessa as my foundation bitch. I always say that the Labrador is the comedian of the Retriever family as they are always up to some antic that will make you laugh, but pull them into your heart.

All our pups and dogs take part in our everyday activities, which we feel is essential for normal growth and development. I introduce them at a young age to many different situations that will allow them to be housetrained and crated easily, once they go home. They come from parents that have been cleared from OVC/OFA for genetic hip and elbow dysplagia. Their eyes are screened once a year and their hearts have been listened to carefully by a veterinarian checking for any heart abnormalities. The pups are dewormed at least twice, the first series of vaccinations given and are microchipped for identification and registration purposes. The pups are registered with the CKC and all sold on non-breeding contracts with the CKC.

I do show and attend Dog Shows in conformation, so have been able to discuss the future of both breeds with other breeders and handlers. I am also interested in Field and Obedience. My pups will also enjoy success in obedience, agility, fielding canine companion, therapy dogs as well as being devoted pets. I am a member of the CKC, the Golden Retriever Club of Canada, the Golden Retriever Breeder's Club of Canada, the LOC (Labrador Owner Club) and the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada We live in the heart of the Niagara area very close to the town of Fonthill and only 10 minutes from St. Catharines. All our dogs enjoy the 37 acres we have on the Niagara escarpment, to run, investigate and to even swim in the creeks and rivers, which flow through the land.
